- Matches-
-All matches will be (1) 8 Minute round
-All Kids/Teens Matches will be one (1) 6 Minute Round
-All matches will occur on a 22×22 platform
-All matches (Both GI and NO-GI) are Submission Only
-If there is no submission at the end of the 8 Minutes, the match WILL BE
considered a draw.
-If the match is paused and reset for ANY reason the referee WILL resume the match with the competitors in the same
position that they were in before the reset.
-Only (1) one corner man/woman permitted in the corner for each competitor.
Awards-
–Championship Medals will be given to all match winners
No-GI Division Specifics (Adults)-
-All Submissions are legal for all Skill Levels
No-GI Division Specifics (Children/Teen)-
-No lower body Attacks (ex. Heel Hooks, Toe Holds)
-If a submission (Any Chokes, Arm bar, Triangle etc..) is locked in deep and there is a chance of danger to the child’s safety the
referee WILL stop the match.
GI Division Specifics-
-No Toe holds or Knee bars except for Brown and Black Belts
-No Heel Hooks
-No Reaping
-Gi’s Must be reasonably fitted
Prohibited Techniques-
-No slamming or spiking your opponent directly on their head or neck
-No Flying Scissor Takedowns
-No Strikes of any kind
-No inserting fingers into any orifice or cut
-No grabbing or attacking the trachea/windpipe directly
Other Important Information-
-All Athletes WILL undergo a skin check to inspect for infectious diseases
-No smelly GI will be allowed- You will be asked to change or forfeit if this is an
Issue

-Shirts and Rashguards are not required for either gi or No-Gi when competing but must be worn at all other times
-No Vulgar or inappropriate attire may be worn at anytime

-If you purposely flee the mat you will be disqualified

Entrance Music and Corners-
-Competitors MUST submit both their entrance music and corners name to a Top
Level representative by the Tuesday before the event
-All music will be submitted to the DJ by a Top Level representative
-All corners will be noted and listed along with their athlete to receive the proper
Credentials
Arriving at the Venue-
-Every competitor will arrive to the venue during their arrival time and check-in at our front desk area.
-Competitors and their (1) one coach will both get their athlete/coaching wrist bands
-Competitors must sign the event waiver and hand it to the appropriate Top Level
representative
-Once checked in competitors must immediately head to the weigh in area
Weigh in Procedure–
–Weigh in occur the day of the event (1:00 p.m.- 3:00 p.m.)
-Competitors will arrive at the venue during the desired (2) two hour weigh-in period.
-Competitors will step on our certified scale and make the agreed upon weight (+5)
-GI matches will weigh in Without the Gi on
-Once the competitor makes the agreed upon weight the competitor must undergo
Skin checks by a certified trainer.
-Once ALL weigh in procedures are finished, The competitor may be free to leave.
**Missing Weight-If a competitor misses weight, the competitor has until
the weigh in period is over to make the agreed upon weight.
-If the competitor is still over the agreed upon weight then a meeting with The Promoter (Bill Vigil), both athletes, and both
athletes coaches must had to determine if the scheduled bout will be canceled or resume.
Tickets Procedure-(This can be done before or after weigh in’s)
-All Competitors who sell tickets will receive 15% of all their total ticket sales
-All Competitors must bring all ticket money and unsold tickets to with them to Weigh-ins.
-There will be a table in the weigh-in area where the competitor will sit down with
the promoter and turn in unsold tickets and money.
-Once both the promoter and competitor count all ticket money and returned tickets
the promoter will give the competitor their commission.
Coach/Corners-
-Top Level Allows (1) One Coach allowed in the corner of each competitor
-Top Level provides (1) Chair in each corner of each competitor
*Please Note- No one else is allowed inside the barricades during matches
Warm up room–
–ONLY Competitors and participating athletes are allowed in the warm up area.
-Competitors are allowed to bring in bottled water, Gatorade, or any other sports drinks
–NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES, ENERGY DRINKS, OR GLASS BOTTLES OF ANY KIND ALLOWED IN THE ATHLETES WARM UP AREA.
-Competitors will have a warm up mat to use for their desired warm ups
-Match list and match order will be posted all around the warm up area for competitors
To be fully aware of when their scheduled bout is.
-Warm up area will also provide and have an available cooler with ice in it for any injuries
Rules Meeting-
-All Competitors and Corners Must Be present for the rules and regulation meeting
-The rules meeting will last approximately between 5-10 minutes
-The Rules and regulations meeting will be done by the senior referee and will address
the rules for the No-Gi and GI matches (Which are above) making sure their is a clear
understanding of them.
Event Staff-
-Event Staff will be clearly marked in Top Level Pro polo shirts.
-Top Level Ushers will assist competitors in bringing them to the staging area to prepare
to enter the venue for their bouts and they will be identified with the Top Level Blazers on
-Top Level Referees will be identified with the dress suits
–WILL CALL Area will be clearly marked at the main entrance
Event Medic-
– All Top Level Grappling Events will have a trained medic on site
-The Medic will be visible and accessible to any competitors

Overview
1.) No-Gi Matches
2.) No slippery substances allowed on body or clothing.
3.) The mat area is CES MMA cage
4.) If the fighters must stop the action for ANY reason, the referee will restart the fight
in the center of the mat, in the same position they were in when the match was halted, If the fighters were
standing without any established locked position, they will start again facing each other. If a competitor has
single or double grips before the ref says stop, the athletes will resume the same position.
5.) All Competitors MUST wear Rashguard AND Shorts/Spats/Compression Shorts
6.) No Jumping or Pulling/Sit Guard. If a Competitor Pulls or “Sits” Guard TheReferee MUST
Immediately stop the action and stand the Competitor back up and issue a Warning
1.)If you shoot for a takedown, go to turtle position while attempting hard to finish the takedown for more than 3 secs and then pull guard, you will not be penalized with a minus.
2.) Competitors will be issued up to 3 Warnings
3.) After the 3rd Warning If a competitor continues Pulling or Sitting Guard
the individual will be DQ from the contest and his opponent will be declared the winner.
How you can win
1.) If one competitor gives up or submits by tapping the leg, arm or verbally.
2.) If Referee feels one competitor is unable to defend himself or feels his life is in danger,
the Referee will declare the winner.

Time Limits
1.) 1 Rounds = 5 Minutes
Legal Techniques
1.) Any kind of choke (except for using the hand to close the wind pipe).
2.) Any arm bar, shoulder lock, or wrist lock
3.) Any Leg Lock or Ankle Lock
4.) Can Opener is allowed.
5.) Twister is allowed.
Illegal Techniques
1.) Slamming is Not allowed
2.) No neck cranks (Anything that traps both shoulders and puts downward pressure
on the neck) For example a full nelson.
3.) Absolutly No spiking your opponent on their head while attempting a takedown.
4.) No striking of any kind
5.) No eye gouging or fish hooking
6.) No grabbing the ears
7.) No hair pulling
8.) No holding of less than 4 fingers or less than 5 toes.
9.) No thumbing
10.) No scratching and pinching
11.) No kicking
12.) No biting
13.) No squeezing or putting pressure on the groin area
14.) No hands, knees or elbows on face
15.) No slippery substances allowed on body or clothing
16.) No use holding of the T-Shirt or shorts.
Other Topics
1.) An ACTION call is NOT a warning call, it is meant to push the athletes to be more active.
2.) An WARNING passivity is a warning to the athlete, after 3 WARNING calls the next call will
result in a DQ
Judging Criteria
1.) Scoring in ADCC is extremely difficult so the number 1 judging criteria is who is
the aggressor and is initiating the action. We need to incentive the athletes to force the action.
2.) If someone initiates and their opponent counters, we still give a heavy emphasis
to the person initiating.
3.) We judge the entire match
4.) Other than initiating we take into consideration, positional control, sub attempts and all factors in a grappling match but once again the main judging criteria is who initiates.
